The winner of the 2025/2026 season of the AFFA Regional League has been determined. Sport24.az reports that "Zangezur" and "Marafon" teams faced each other in the final match held at the Shamakhi city stadium.
"Zangezur" team, winning against its opponent with a score of 2:1, became the champion and gained the right to participate in the Second League. "Marafon" will play a play-off match for a place in the Second League.
In the match for the third place, "Bilasuvar" team defeated "Shafaq" team with a score of 4:1 and won the bronze medal.
After the games, an award ceremony was organized. Vugar Ashrafli, a player of the "Marafon" team, who scored 78 goals, received the award presented to the top scorer. Elgun Abbasli from the "Zangezur" team was named the best football player of the season in the Regional League.
Finally, "Bilasuvar" was awarded a bronze medal, "Marafon" a silver medal, and "Zangezur" a gold medal and a cup. The awards were presented to the teams by AFFA Secretary General Jahangir Farajullayev and President of the Regional Football Federation Iskandar Javadov.
