According to the club's official website, RB Leipzig's 19-year-old Ivorian forward, Yan Diomande, has been named Bundesliga's Rookie of the Season for 2025/26.
Idman.Biz reports that the award was presented after his successful debut season with the team.
During the season, he played 33 games, scored 12 goals, and provided eight assists. Diomande competed with Hamburg defender Luka Vušković and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Ibrahim Maza for the award.
Yan Diomande joined RB Leipzig on July 16, 2025, from Spanish club Leganes. The transfer fee was 20 million euros, and the contract was for five years.
RB Leipzig finished the 2025/26 season in third place in the Bundesliga standings with 65 points.
