Spanish coach Xabi Alonso will soon be announced as the new head coach of Chelsea.
According to Idman.Biz, the news was shared by journalist Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page.
The London club will sign a four-year contract with the coach until June 2030. It is reported that all the details have been clarified and Alonso will arrive in London in the coming days to start working with the club. A preliminary agreement between the club and the coach was previously reported.
Alonso's previous club as a coach was Real Madrid. He managed the team from June 2025 to January 12, 2026. During his time, Alonso coached in 28 matches, winning 20, drawing 3 and losing 5. The coach is also known for his work at Bayern Munich, where he became German champion.
