Earlier, our Greco-Roman wrestlers Ali Javadli (45 kg), Abdurrahman Huseynli (51 kg) and Isfandiyar Hasanov (80 kg) won silver medals. Umar Salamanov (48 kg), Elmir Cherkezov (60 kg) and Orkhan Habibli (65 kg) were content with bronze medals.
Note that the world championship is being held at the National Gymnastics Arena. More than 700 young wrestlers from over 60 countries are participating in the competition. Azerbaijan is represented by 29 wrestlers at the tournament.
