Spanish specialist Xabi Alonso has made his first statement regarding his appointment as head coach of Chelsea.
Idman.Biz reports that in a statement to foreign media, the 44-year-old specialist said he was happy with his new job. He said he has already started preparing for the new season with Chelsea.
Alonso emphasized that his move to the London club happened quickly: "Everything happened very quickly. This is a very good option for me."
Speaking about the players in the coaching staff, he stated that players such as Joao Pedro, Enzo Fernandez and Mark Cucurella are of great interest. Alonso pointed out the importance of them staying in the team.
