French club Marseille has sent an offer to former Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso. Sport24.az reports that this was reported by RMC Sport.
Marseille considered the 44-year-old specialist as a replacement for Roberto De Zerbi, who was dismissed as head coach a week ago. However, Xabi Alonso rejected the Ligue 1 club's offer. It was reported that the reason for this decision was the unstable situation within the club.
Earlier, there were also reports that Alonso could lead Manchester City and replace Josep Guardiola.
It is worth recalling that the Spanish specialist was dismissed from Real Madrid on January 12 this year, where he had worked since June last year.
