Wayne Rooney has continued his verbal sparring with Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim.
According to İdman.biz, despite a 2-0 victory over Sunderland, which temporarily eased the tension, the Portuguese manager's position remains uncertain.
"I understand what it's like to be under pressure. But if you're managing Manchester United, you have to be prepared for criticism. It's a big club, and if the team isn't winning, there will always be questions. Players need to focus on their jobs and follow the coach's instructions," Rooney said.
Amorim, in turn, had previously responded to comments from Rooney and Gary Neville, emphasizing that he would "not run away from results" and would continue to adhere to his chosen game philosophy. Under his leadership, United has won 19 out of 50 matches, with a win rate of just 38%.
The team's next game is away against Liverpool on October 19th. Manchester United is currently tenth in the league table with 10 points.
