Walter Zenga talks about "Qarabag's" chances in European games and negotiations with "Neftchi"

"I highly appreciate "Qarabag's" potential to succeed in Europe".

These words were said by Walter Zenga, the former goalkeeper of the Italian national team and "Inter".

The 65-year-old expert said that he is aware of "Qarabag's" performance in the Champions League so far.

"I have not watched their games, but I know that the team has been remembered for its successful performance so far. There will be matches with the German club "Eintracht" and the English club "Liverpool". I think there is always a chance. It all depends on the team's condition. It is not easy to play with "Eintracht", but they can create good opportunities," he said in a statement to AZERTAC.

He also touched upon the fact that his name was once mentioned with "Neftchi":

"I did not have official negotiations with "Neftchi". As a result, the transition did not materialize".

Speaking about the general situation of Azerbaijani football, Zenga noted that he does not have much information about the country's football:

"My compatriot Gianni De Biasi worked in the Azerbaijani national team. In my opinion, he did a good job for the technical and spiritual development of the country's football, as well as the players".

It should be noted that he played for Milan's "Inter" team in 1982-1994. He appeared in 58 matches as part of the Italian national team.
