– The visiting card of the teams of Ukrainian specialist Lobanovsky was that he applied pressure from the first minutes, scored a goal and retreated to defense. Today, "Neftchi" appeared with this system. Do you apply it because you like it?
– Lobanovsky is a great legend. I wouldn't say that I know him very well and want to apply his system. As "Neftchi", we try to show a game worthy of our name. We must be aggressive from the first minutes, put pressure. When we score quickly against teams below us in the standings, the game becomes easier. Sometimes it works well. In today's match, we scored very quickly, created additional chances. But in some episodes we missed opportunities. In the second half, we did what we couldn't do. It is pleasing that my team understands the situation and does not stay in defense from the beginning of the game.
– You couldn't beat "Qarabag" for 5 years, and you broke the series. The team has not been able to beat "Sabah" for three years, will you be able to end this longing?
– We have no other way. If we look at the tournament table now, there is a three-point difference between us and "Zira", and that means nothing. We will play to win against "Sabah". We will do our best to finish the season in a good place.
– Don't you think you should have made the change in the goalkeeper position sooner?
– I don't see anything extraordinary. Emil Balayev and Kenan Piric are good goalkeepers. I just decided to give Emil a chance after a big defeat to "Qarabag". I had to make a change after that match. For the future, I can say that we have two goalkeepers of the same level. I think they will both get their chance.
– What about Abubakar? Where is he, why isn't he playing?
– Every footballer will have a chance. Questions were asked about Agadadash before, but he is also playing in the last two matches. I like the determination he shows in training and that's why I give him a chance. Those who will be good will also get a chance. This is our football life.
