Usman Dembele Wins "Ballon d'Or", France Takes the Lead

Last night, the winner of the "Ballon d'Or" for 2025 was determined. Sport24.az reports that PSG forward Usman Dembele has won the prestigious award.

 

Dembele becomes the sixth Frenchman in history to win this award. Previous winners include Raymond Kopa (1958), Michel Platini (1983, 1984, 1985), Jean-Pierre Papin (1991), Zinedine Zidane (1998), and Karim Benzema (2022).

 

It should be noted that France has risen to the first place in the number of footballers who have won the "Ballon d'Or". Germany and Italy have five such players.
