The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has rejected a proposal to change the offside rule.
According to the British newspaper The Times, "Report" reports.
Earlier, the Spanish newspaper AS reported that the International Football Association Board (IFAB) would consider changing the offside rules on January 20.
Currently, an attacking player is considered offside if any part of their body is closer to the opponent's goal than the second-last defender, including the goalkeeper, at the moment the ball is passed.
Former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger, who previously held the position of head of global football development at the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), had proposed the following change: If any part of the body that can score a goal is on the same line as, or behind, the second-last defender, the player is not offside.
