The UEFA Nations League draw took place today. Sport24.az reports that the event was held in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, and started at 21:00 Baku time.
The event was attended by AFFA Secretary General Jahangir Farajullayev, Executive Vice-President's Advisor Orkhan Ahmadov, head coach of the Azerbaijan national team Aykhan Abbasov and director of the A national team Ilgar Gurbanov.
The opponents of the Azerbaijani national team have also been determined at the ceremony. Our national team, coached by Aykhan Abbasov, is in the 1st basket of League D. Our team is in the 2nd group of League D. Our team will compete with the Lithuanian and Liechtenstein national teams in this stage. According to the rules, 2 groups with 3 teams each will be formed in League D. Each team will play 4 matches in its group.
It should be noted that the new season in the UEFA Nations League will start on September 24.
