English club "Tottenham" has commented on the sanctions imposed by UEFA regarding the behavior of its fans in the Champions League match against German team "Eintracht Frankfurt" in the 8th round.
İdman.Biz reports that the club has been fined 30,000 euros for the incident that took place in Frankfurt on January 28. "Tottenham" won the match 2:0.
"The Club has been informed of the sanctions imposed by UEFA following the extremely reprehensible behaviour of a small group during our Champions League away match in Frankfurt.
The Club fully cooperated with the UEFA investigation that evening, as well as with the German police and subsequently the U-Bahn police.
We can confirm that all three individuals found guilty of making Nazi salutes to Eintracht Frankfurt supporters have been identified and issued with permanent bans, in line with the Club's Sanctions & Banning Policy.
The Club is absolutely clear that it has a zero tolerance position against all forms of discrimination and has taken the strongest possible action as a result. The abhorrent behaviour of the few individuals that evening in no way reflects the values of our Club and the overwhelming majority of our supporters," the club said in a statement on its official social media page.
