"Sabah's" Polish footballer Timoteusz Puchacz gave an interview to his country's press. Sport24.az reports that the flank defender clarified all questions regarding his future.
He confirmed that he wants to stay in his current team and that the club will transfer him permanently.
Puchacz said that he has no intention of leaving the Baku club unless a fantastic offer comes along:
"Sabah will buy me. Frankly, I'm not planning to leave. I have been offered a good three-year contract here and I feel very comfortable in this team."
The player emphasized that winning the championship in the Misli Premier League creates great comfort in the team.
"Although the results were not stable at the beginning of the season, after the squad was strengthened, a series of victories began. I especially consider the victory over "Qarabag" in December as a turning point. The championship has not been widely celebrated yet. After the "Qarabag" game, it was already late, and we had another match two days later. Therefore, there was no opportunity to celebrate. The real celebration will probably be after the cup. Our goal is to win the Azerbaijan Cup as well. If the team does a double, the main celebration will be at that time. If we win the cup as well, I think we will experience even greater joy. So far, everything has been a bit quiet."
The footballer, who belongs to the German club "Holstein Kiel" under contract, said that he wants to stay in "Sabah":
"Even though the German club wanted to bring me back after parting ways with the previous management, this option was not attractive. I have been disappointed in Germany several times. Even if I went back there and moved to another club, I would still be making money for my previous club. If I stay here, even if I leave in the future, "Sabah" will win. This makes more sense to me."
Puchacz added that very good conditions have been created for him in Baku, both financially and in terms of football:
"I have a great team here, a strong coach. We have become champions and we will play in European competitions. I see no reason to leave at the moment."
It should be noted that "Sabah" will face "Zira" in the final of the Bizon Azerbaijan Cup today.
