In the match between "Qarabagh" and "Copenhagen" held in Baku as part of the second round of the UEFA Champions League main stage, the visiting Danish team appeared on the field without the logo of a bookmaker company on their uniform.
Idman.biz reports that "Copenhagen" usually plays in Eurocups with a uniform that has the logo of a bookmaker company. However, this time the visiting team had to act in accordance with Azerbaijani legislation.
According to Article 428.9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan, advertising of sports betting games and lotteries that are prohibited and not registered in the country is not allowed. Individuals who violate the law are fined 3,000 manats, officials are fined 7,000 manats, and legal entities are fined 40,000 manats. Therefore, the "Copenhagen" club appeared on the field without sponsors in accordance with Azerbaijani rules.
It should be noted that there is no direct information in the media that "Copenhagen" changed its uniform in Baku only for legal reasons. However, the Danish press previously noted that the "Copenhagen" team regularly has to remove uniform sponsors due to legal requirements. They had to change their uniform for the same reason in Kosovo and the Czech Republic before. Therefore, it is highly likely that they appeared on the field without sponsors in Baku for the same reason.
