The 35th penalty shootout in the history of the Azerbaijan Cup has taken place.

The fate of the "Gabala" - "Sabah" pair of the 1/4 final stage was decided in this way.
In the duel of rivals who drew 0:0 in Baku and 3:3 in Gabala, the capital's representative won in the end - 4:2. This was the 35th penalty shootout in the history of the national cup.
The last such match also took place with the participation of "Sabah". The Baku club was superior to "Turan Tovuz" in the 1/8 finals of the 2024/2025 season - 2:2, 3:1.
"Sabah" won the penalty shootout for the second time in the history of the tournament.
"Gabala" faced such an event for the 5th time in a cup match. The team with two victories lost for the 3rd time.
