"Sumgayit" club gave more chances to young players in the match against "Zagatala" in the II qualifying round of the Azerbaijan Cup.
Idman.Biz reports that this was stated by the head coach of the representative of the "city of youth" Sasa Ilic in his statement to the club's press service.
He said that they witnessed an interesting match:
"It was a good match. Our main goal was to play football players who get less playing time. Especially after taking a 2:0 lead in the first half, we tried to keep control of the game and avoid injuries. In the second half, we made changes and created opportunities for other players to stay in good shape. Although the score was 3:0, I don't think we won easily. But in any case, we are happy to have qualified for the next stage. We wish "Zagatala" success in the next games."
It should be noted that "Sumgayit" will face "Difai", the representative of the I League, in the 1/8 finals.
