"Sumgayit" has achieved its 75th home victory in the Premier League. Sport24.az reports, citing the official website of the Professional Football League, that the representative of the "city of youth" achieved this in its 223rd match.
This coincided with the VIII round of the Misli Premier League. Sumgayit's club of the same name defeated "Karvan-Yevlakh" on its own field – 4:1.
The team's first home victory dates back to the 2011/2012 season, when it defeated AZAL 2:1 on October 30, 2011. "Sumgayit" is the 12th team to win 75 or more victories in the top division of national championships.
