Former "Juventus", "Arsenal" and Swiss national team defender Stephan Lichtsteiner has been appointed as the head coach of "Basel". Sport24.az reports that the club's official website has released information about this.
A contract has been signed between the parties until the summer of 2029.
The 42-year-old specialist coached Basel's youth teams from 2022 to 2024.
It should be noted that after 21 rounds, "Basel" is in fourth place in the standings and is 10 points behind the leader "Thun".
