"An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today disqualified "Southampton" from the Championship play-offs after the club admitted repeated breaches of EFL regulations regarding the unauthorized filming of other clubs' training sessions.
Four points have also been deducted, and these points will be included in the 2026/27 Championship table.
As a result of today's decision, "Middlesbrough" will return to the 2026 play-offs and advance to the final against "Hull City." The final game will be held on Saturday, May 23, and the start time will be confirmed," the statement said.
