Idman.Biz reports that the goalkeeper responded to those who criticized him for not knowing the Azerbaijani language well.
He wrote the following on his personal account:
"Praise be to Allah that I live in Azerbaijan. I am happy to represent a victorious country. Although I do not know the language perfectly, my heart is always with Azerbaijan."
It should be noted that Shahruddin Mahammadaliyev made a statement to journalists after the 1:3 defeat to France in the qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup. He was injured in the first half of the match and was unable to continue the game. The goalkeeper will be out of action for approximately 2-3 months.
