Sevinj Jafarzade, a football player of the Azerbaijan women's national team, gave an interview to Sportal.az.
Idman.biz reports that Jafarzade, who left Krasnodar and moved to Yüksekova club, talked about her goals in Turkey:
"I had been playing in the Russian Super League for eight years. I played in Krasnodar for the last 5 years. At the end of this year, my contract with the club would expire. I had conversations with my club, and even the management offered me to work in the club structure. But I said that I wanted to continue my career as a football player and thanked them. This offer made me happy. Because I was a 5-year player of a big club, and I was still appreciated at the end. Although I thought about changing my club at the end of the year, the transition took place now."
The winger of our national team stated that although she is new to the Turkish championship, she believes that she will do her best for the team in a short time: "My only offer was not from my current team. I decided to move to the Turkish league. The reason I moved to this team is because of the contract that suits me after the offer was made. Sometimes you look at what the clubs offer and make a decision. Of course, the material and moral situation also plays a role here. To be honest, I am new to this league, and no matter where I am, as a professional football player, I try to do my best. My new plans do not change depending on the place and the team. I always try to do 100 percent and I work for it. There were negotiations with several clubs, and my transfer here took place. I have plans for the future. But I don't want to get ahead of events. First, I have to prove myself in this club and league. Then I think that more different offers await me. But time will tell everything. I need to work more on myself and I am working."
