The management of the Spanish club "Sevilla" has officially ruled out the possibility of experienced defender Sergio Ramos returning to the team this season.
Idman.Biz reports, citing the Spanish press, that the reason for this is the club's financial situation.
Sergio Ramos even agreed to play for free, taking into account the club's difficult situation. However, La Liga rules do not allow this. Considering the player's last salary at Monterrey, his transfer would mean a serious exceeding of the club's salary limit. Currently, Sevilla's financial situation does not allow for the registration of additional players.
Sevilla's technical director, Jose Ignacio Navarro, expressed his position clearly when speaking about the issue:
"Today, Sergio Ramos is not a reality. He is not a player training with us and cannot be at the disposal of the head coach. Therefore, there is no point in discussing it. The topic is already closed. We are currently focused on the players we can use and the players from Sevilla Atletico.
It should be noted that the processes initiated by the player related to managing the club off the field or acquiring shares are still ongoing.
