Former "Qarabag" player Sedat Saini spoke to Sportal.az about his former club.
He spoke about the successful results of the Aghdam representative in European Cups:
"I wasn't surprised that "Qarabag" scored 6 points after two rounds in the Champions League. They have done a lot of good work in recent years. Stable work is going on, they have reached an important level in terms of European experience. The team's game is well-established. They are very disciplined on the field. They make good use of the support of the fans, especially at home. Therefore, "Qarabag's" victories in the Champions League are not a surprise, but the result of systematic work. The biggest secret of "Qarabag's" presence at these levels is stability, the correct direction of planning. The management is thinking about long-term work. A team has been assembled that can compete in the European arena. Constancy in discipline and understanding of the game builds the foundation for success."
Saini, who currently works as the coach of the Kosovo champion "Drita", assessed the chances of "Qarabag", which will face "Athletic" in the 3rd round of the Champions League:
"The match against "Athletic" will be very difficult. The Bilbao representative is a team that stands out with its physical strength and pace. But "Qarabag" has already become an experienced team in Europe. The fate of the match will be clarified by the midfield battle."
