The "School Cup" tournament has kicked off in Goranboy-Naftalan within the framework of cooperation between AFFA and the State Agency for Preschool and General Education of the Ministry of Science and Education. Sport24.az reports with reference to AFFA that the first games were held after the opening ceremony.
Students from 55 schools, including 7th-grade boys, 5th-grade boys and girls, will test their strength in the competition. After the internal championship is over, the champion team in each of the three groups will represent the region in regional competitions - Regional finals.
It should be noted that the main goal of organizing the "School Cup" tournament is to increase the popularity of football among schoolchildren, promote a healthy lifestyle, and contribute to the formation of team spirit in children. Within the framework of the project, competitions will be held between schools in all regions of the country, and the winners will test their strength in the national championship.
