"Azerbaijan's national team of football players under 21 is not losing by a large score for the first time."
Idman.Biz reports that this was said by Samir Aliyev, the former head coach of the Azerbaijan U-21 national team, in his statement to Report.
The expert commented on the team's big defeat against the Czech Republic in the qualifying round of the European Championship:
"When I was working in the U-21 national team, there were also big defeats. The new head coach Rashad Eyyubov is young and doesn't have much experience. U-21 will be a new experience in his career. The Czech Republic is one of the strongest opponents for our national team. Considering that it was Rashad Eyyubov's first match as head coach, he doesn't know the players very well. What I mean is that no training camp has been held, and they have not tested their strength in test matches. It would not be right to criticize them in the current situation. The right choice is to support them. There have always been problems. This is not the first time that the team is losing by a large score."
It should be noted that the Czech Republic - Azerbaijan match ended with the opponent's 5:0 victory. U-21 will hold its next match against the Scottish national team at home on October 14.
