Sabah's U-13 team wins silver medal at international tournament in Georgia

The U-13 football team of the "Sabah" club gained great experience and serious motivation for future success at the international tournament held in Georgia.

This was stated by Shahin Zeynalov, the head coach of the team, in his statement to "Report".

He spoke about winning a silver medal at the "Kobuleti Winter Cup" tournament:

"We started the competition very confidently. We won big victories in the first two matches of the group stage, and drew in the third match. With these results, we qualified from the group and advanced to the play-off stage. The children also showed character in the play-offs. We gained confident victories in both the 1/4 finals and the semi-finals and qualified for the final. The final game was very tense. The main time ended in a goalless draw and the winner was determined in a penalty shootout. Unfortunately, luck was not on our side at this stage and we finished the tournament in second place."

The expert said he was proud of his team:

"The team showed perseverance, discipline and fighting spirit throughout the tournament. This competition was both a great experience for us and a serious motivation for future success. The children really showed character on the field. We are proud of them."

It should be noted that "Sabah" lost to the local "Vazisubani" team in the post-match penalty shootout in the decisive match.
