"Time will tell how we will perform in the UEFA Champions League." These words were said by "Sabah" player Ivan Lepinica in his statement to Sport24.az.
The Croatian midfielder highly appreciated his team's qualification for the qualifying stage of the continent's number one club tournament and emphasized that this stage is of particular importance for both football players and the club:
"A lot will depend on the opponents we face during the draw. Which team we will face is an important factor. But I think that participating in such a prestigious tournament is a very good experience for both us and the club. Games at this level are a great opportunity for every football player."
The 26-year-old player added that they will do their best to perform successfully in European cups:
"For the first time in the club's history, we will compete in the UEFA Champions League. This is a wonderful feeling for all of us. We will try to make the most of this opportunity and perform with dignity."
