Ruslan Amirjanov, the player-coach of the "Zangazur" football team, shared his thoughts after winning the AFFA Region League championship.

Idman.Biz reports that "Zangazur" won the tournament by defeating "Marafon" 2:1 in the final. Thus, the team earned the right to participate in the Second League next season.

41-year-old Ruslan Amirjanov stated that the championship is of particular importance to him. He said that age is not an obstacle to staying on the field:

"Actually, it's 41 years old. Cristiano Ronaldo also plays at this age, he was born in '85. If you have a little gunpowder in you, you will play. There are players who can stay off the field after finishing their careers. But thank God, I have been able to keep myself in full shape, I am constantly in training."

The experienced football player emphasized that he accepted the invitation from "Zangazur" without hesitation:

"That's why, when I received an invitation from the "Zangazur" team to help as both a player and a coach, I wholeheartedly agreed. Thank God I came, and I am happy that I came. It is gratifying that we became champions in this difficult marathon, on this difficult road."

Amirjanov stated that they dedicate the success to everyone who believed in the team:

"Thank you to everyone who believed in us. We dedicate this cup and medal to our family and relatives who are waiting for us at home."

It should be noted that the "Bilasuvar" team won the bronze medals in the Region League by defeating "Shafaq" with a score of 4:1.
