Former Manchester United and Republic of Ireland midfielder, now a football pundit, Roy Keane has criticized Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta.
İdman.biz reports that Keane stated that Arteta's approach is passive: "When I look at Arteta, I feel like his thinking is: 'Let's try not to lose today.'" However, considering the level of other teams, especially Liverpool and Manchester City in recent years, this is not enough. A lot of draws won't get you to the goal quickly. They need to change their mindset."
The expert added that Arteta says every week that he is proud of his team: "I would like him to come out one day and say: 'No, I expect more from my players. We are Arsenal, we have a great team, we have spent a lot of money, we are moving forward.' Instead of just saying 'I am proud of this and that' every week."
Roy Keane believes that the head coach should be more critical and say that something still needs to be done to win the championship title. Otherwise, his team will again be in second place at the end of the season: "They have been second in the last three years," Keane told Sky Sports.
