AFFA President Rovshan Najaf congratulated the Azerbaijani national team of football players under 16 on winning a silver medal at the III CIS Games held in Gabala.
Idman.biz reports that the head of the federation shared a message regarding this success: "The Azerbaijani national team of football players under 16 won a silver medal at the III CIS Games held in our country. I sincerely congratulate our young football players and the coaching staff, and I wish them continued success. Such achievements create a solid foundation for future victories".
It should be noted that the U-16 team, which won victories over the Tajikistan (1:0) and Kyrgyzstan (4:0) teams in the group, lost to the Russian national team (2:3) in the final.
