AFFA President Rovshan Najaf congratulated the Azerbaijani national team of under-16 football players on winning a silver medal at the III CIS Games held in Gabala. Sport24.az reports that the head of the federation shared a post about this success:
"The Azerbaijani national team of under-16 football players won a silver medal at the III CIS Games held in our country. I sincerely congratulate our young football players and coaching staff, and wish them continued success. Such achievements create a solid foundation for future victories."
It should be noted that U-16, who won over the national teams of Tajikistan (1:0) and Kyrgyzstan (4:0) in the group, lost to the Russian team (2:3) in the final match.
