Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior compared the London team to Alex Ferguson's Manchester United.
Idman.Biz reports that Rosenior's contract with the London club expires in June 2032.
"People will criticize me for this, but I was a Manchester United fan and now I am a loyal Chelsea fan.
I remember Sir Alex Ferguson having the courage to include six or seven players aged 19-21 in his team, because he believed in them, because he had won the title. They grew up and won cup after cup. It was an incredible period in the club's history. None of this would have happened without that courage.
There is potential here. Not reality, potential. Think about Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandes, Cole Palmer or Reece James - world-class players, but still very, very young. The main goal of this club is to recreate this. I'm not saying I will definitely do it and I will definitely do it. However, I will not limit the club's ambitions.
As I demonstrated in Strasbourg, my job is to work with young players, improve their game and win matches at the same time. There is no reason why I can't do the same here. You will see that what we have discussed will happen here over time. The project here is focused on winning matches. It's about bringing trophies to Chelsea. I will work very hard for this and to quote your question, whether I am at the club in three, four or five years, I think this club will be successful for a long time.
You have to understand that age is a thing. Experience is also important. Enzo is a World Cup winner and the team's leader. Reece has won titles and more. I have experienced players here. They may be younger, but I have experienced players. This group of players has already won together. I want to use this to move forward and create motivation to win in the future," said Rosenior.
