Former Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney has assessed Michael Carrick's chances of becoming the club's next head coach.
Idman.Biz reports that Rooney believes it's only a matter of time before Carrick manages Manchester United. He also emphasized that the attitude towards young English specialists is not always positive. According to BBC, Rooney considers Carrick the right candidate for the club.
"Yes, I think it's not a question of if he will be a head coach, but when it will happen. It's just, he's a young English specialist, and in the eyes of many, this is not always perceived positively. But Michael Carrick is smart, he's a really good coach. I think if everything goes right, he can lead this team as much as he wants," Rooney said.
