Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo has taken a big step, transferring his success from the green fields to the business world. He has officially announced the purchase of 25 percent of the shares of the Spanish club Almeria.
Idman.Biz reports that the deal was carried out through CR7 Sports Investments, a new subsidiary of CR7 SA, led by Ronaldo.
Currently competing in the Segunda (the second division of Spain), Almeria is in third place in the tournament table and is one of the strong candidates to return to the elite.
Speaking about this decision, Cristiano Ronaldo stated that he wants to contribute to the world of football even outside the field:
"For a long time, I have intended to serve football outside the field as well. Almeria is a club with solid foundations and great development potential. I want to work side by side with the management in the new
stage of development of the club."
It should be reminded that the current president of Almeria, Mohammed Al-Khereiji, bought the club from Turki Al-Sheikh last year. This investment by Ronaldo, who has close friendly relations with Al-Khereiji, is considered the beginning of a new era for the development of both the main team and the academy at the club.
