The match between "Mumbai City" and "Inter Kashi" in the Indian Super Cup was postponed twice due to a bee attack.
Lent.az reports, citing foreign media, that the first attack occurred in the 28th minute, when the referee began running from a swarm of bees towards the center of the field.
The game resumed after 4 minutes, but was stopped again after the bees returned. The same referee fell to the ground, and a member of one of the teams ran to cover him with a towel.
As a result, the match referees changed their yellow uniforms to black, and the game was resumed in the 44th minute. 14 minutes were added to the first half. "Mumbai City" won with a score of 1:0 and advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament.
The Indian Super Cup, which replaced the Federation Cup in 2018, is held. The winner of the Super Cup represents India in the AFC Champions League 2, the second largest club competition held by the Asian Football Confederation.
