"Qarabagh" captain Badavi Huseynov has become the Azerbaijani champion for the 11th time. The 34-year-old defender secured the gold medal of the 2024/25 season of the Misli Premier League with his team in the 32nd round.
QOL.az reports with reference to the PFL website that Huseynov, who has been playing for the Aghdam club since the summer of 2012, has won all his titles with his current team. The defender has previously won the title of Azerbaijani champion in the 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.
With this, Badavi repeated the record in the history of Azerbaijani championships. He reached the indicator belonging to Mahmud Gurbanov. The former midfielder won 11 gold medals in 6 different clubs. He experienced this joy in "Kapaz" (1994/95, 1997/98, 1998/99), "Neftchi" (1996/97, 2003/04, 2004/05), "Shamkir" (1999/2000, 2000/01), "Khazar Lankaran" (2006/07), "Inter" (2007/08) and "Baku" (2008/09).
