"Real Madrid" has directly appealed to the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF). The club has asked CONCACAF to prohibit the holding of the 17th round match of the Spanish Primera between "Villarreal" and "Barcelona" on its territory.
Idman.Biz reports this with reference to "Cadena SER".
The Madrid club believes that holding the match outside of Spain violates the principles of competitive integrity.
"Real Madrid" had previously complained to the Spanish National Sports Council (CSD) for the second time to prevent the match from taking place. Due to bureaucratic confusion, the first complaint has been under consideration for two months.
