Rahid Amirguliyev: "Liverpool" is a very difficult test for "Qarabag"

"Qarabag" delighted the entire Azerbaijani people in their last UEFA Champions League match.

These words were said by former Azerbaijani national team player Rahid Amirguliyev.

The experienced midfielder also shared his thoughts on the "Liverpool" - "Qarabag" match that will take place today in the UEFA Champions League.

"After the victory in the match against Eintracht, we all want the success to continue. Last week they made the entire Azerbaijani people happy. We were all expecting a victory. The opponent is in the top positions in the Bundesliga. Nevertheless, we achieved a well-deserved victory," he said in a statement to sport24.az.​

R. Amirguliyev added that today's match will be very difficult for "Qarabag":

"No matter how strong the German team is, "Liverpool" is not "Eintracht", it's a different level. The Merseyside representative is very strong. Perhaps it is one of the five or six biggest clubs in the world. They always compete for the championship in the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League. I think it will be very difficult for our team. Of course, anything can happen in football. The home team is the clear favorite. We still believe in "Qarabag". We hope that they can score at least 1 point. But I repeat again: it will be very difficult. The chances are slim."
