Reaching 200 matches in "Zira" is a great joy for the team's captain, Qismat Aliyev.
The wing defender shared his thoughts on playing his jubilee match for the "eagles".
"Playing 200 games for "Zira" is truly a great joy for me. I have tried to do my best in every match I have played. I cannot predict how much this number will increase. As long as I wear the jersey of this club, I will try to make our fans happy with great victories," he said in a statement to report.az.
Q. Aliyev also spoke about the return match of the 1/4 final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup, in which they defeated "Sumgayit" with a score of 2:0:
"The cup was very important for both teams. We faced "Sumgayit" twice in a short period of time. The opponents knew each other well. They also have good, skilled football players in their squad. We prepared for the match as a team with great desire. In the end, we achieved a very important victory and qualified for the semi-finals."
It should be noted that the game with "Sumgayit" was significant for Qismat Aliyev with his anniversary.
