Azerbaijan's "Qarabag" football club has transferred Zakariya Savou from Sweden's "Djurgården" football club.
Idman.Biz reports that the Aghdam representative has signed a three-year contract with the 26-year-old striker. Negotiations between the parties were positive and the player's transfer was formalized.
Savou has played for "Djurgården" since 2025. In 2026, he wore the jersey of the Cypriot "AEL" football club on loan. During his career, the striker also played for the Swedish clubs "Olimpik", "Rosenängård", "Oskarshamns AIK", the Norwegian "Start" and the Cypriot "Aris".
According to the Swedish press, "Qarabag" paid "Djurgården" 500,000 euros (1 million AZN) for Savou.
It should be noted that Zakariya Savou is the second football player to join "Qarabag" in the summer transfer window. Prior to him, Jali Mauddib's transfer was formalized.
