Elshad Ibrahimli, who was elected president of the Azerbaijan Amputee Football Federation, shared his views on his upcoming plans.
He made a statement about this to "Report".
The head of the organization stated that the teams will participate in several competitions:
"There will be a European Champions League among people with hearing impairments. Our representative will compete there. Our team of football players under the age of 21 will participate in the world championship to be held in Brazil."
E.Ibrahimli also spoke about future goals:
"One of our future plans is to develop football among people with visual impairments. We want this very much. As you know, the brotherly country of Turkey has become the world champion in this category. If there is support and assistance, we intend to build a new playground in the yard of the boarding school. Because the gyms do not accommodate it. It was built a long time ago. It never occurred to anyone that there would be football for the blind. Otherwise, sports halls are in use like other schools. Football for the blind is developing in many countries of the world. We also want to achieve this. There will be courses for coaches and we intend to send the sports teacher working with those children to that course."
He emphasized that they will work to further develop amputee football:
"There are many plans and dreams. We must work to implement them. We will do our best for the development of amputee football in the next five years."
