Dutchman Patrick Kluivert has resigned as head coach of the Indonesian national team.
According to Lent.az, the Indonesian Football Association has released a statement about this. The contract with the 49-year-old specialist was terminated by mutual agreement. Kluivert was appointed to this position on January 8.
It should be noted that on October 11, in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup, the Indonesian national team lost 0:1 to the Iraqi national team, losing the chance to participate in the tournament to be held next year in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
Kluivert previously worked as an assistant coach in the Netherlands and Cameroon national teams. He was the head coach of the youth teams of "Twente" and "Ajax", as well as the Curaçao national team and the Turkish club "Adana Demirspor". He also held senior positions at PSG and Barcelona.
