Our national team tries to take revenge on Iceland

Today, our national team will play its next match in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup. Sport24.az reports that the national team, coached by Aykhan Abbasov, will face Iceland in the 5th round. 

The match between the teams in Reykjavik in September ended with a 5-0 victory for the home team.

It should be noted that France is currently the leader in Group D with 10 points. Ukraine is 2nd with 7 points, and Iceland is 3rd with 4 points. The Azerbaijani national team, with 1 point, is in 4th - last place. 

It should be noted that our national team will host France on November 16 at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium. The game will start at 21:00.
