Lille striker Olivier Giroud has responded to insults from his team's fans after a 4-1 defeat to Strasbourg in the 19th round of Ligue 1.
According to Idman.Biz, Giroud was substituted in the 80th minute and was booed by Lille fans.
"Games come one after the other and we are very tired both physically and mentally, but in such times we must show unity. We can cope with this together. I hope the fans will support us. I had mixed feelings about what I heard. Everyone at the club - the players, the staff and all our fans should be on the same page. Together we can get back on the right track.
This is part of football, we've seen worse. However, everyone is important to us: we win and lose together. I don't think there is a lack of loyalty, on the contrary," RMC Sport presented Giroud's words.
