Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams suffered an injury in the La Liga match against Valencia.
Idman.Biz reports that the 23-year-old footballer felt a problem in his muscle area in the 35th minute and immediately asked to be substituted. He was replaced by his brother, Inaki Williams.
After the match, Inaki stated that his brother's condition was worrying:
"He told me he had never felt pain like that before. He's limping a lot now. It's worrying at this point. Let's wait and hope for the best scenario."
Nico Williams had previously been sidelined for a while due to a pubalgia problem. Therefore, the new injury is considered a serious signal for both Athletic and the Spanish national team, which is preparing for the upcoming matches.
It should be noted that Athletic lost to Valencia 0:1 in that match.
