"Santos" forward Neymar spoke about the prospect of going to the 2026 World Cup with the Brazilian national team. The star footballer made a statement to "Globo" about this:
"Ancelotti is the head coach and he will decide whether I deserve to be in the team. I have always said: playing in the World Cup is my main goal. I have worked very hard for this. Even if I don't make the squad, I will still support Brazil as a fan."
Neymar is the record holder for goals scored for the Brazilian national team. He has 79 goals to his credit. It was previously reported that the 34-year-old footballer has been added to the expanded list of candidates for the tournament to be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
