Former Manchester United player Gary Neville criticised Liverpool after their game against Bournemouth in the 23rd round of the Premier League.
İdman.Biz reports that the game ended 3-2 in Bournemouth's favour.
"They looked weak and I have to say that watching them for the first time, I thought they were a bit soft. They've been a little more mild in some areas, and that's not their style. I thought they were very aggressive last year, but they've lost their attacking edge and in my opinion, they've softened up in defence, which has made them easier to play against, so that's a real problem for them. Unless Liverpool start building their games, they're going to lose the credibility they gained by winning the league last year.
What I don't believe is that in the last week, I've heard a few interviews from Liverpool officials, including the manager, and they've said this season should be a transition season. No, forget that, I'm not going to listen to that. No, it shouldn't be a transition season. You spent £450 million on all these players in the summer and this should be a season where you win two titles in a row," said Neville.
After 23 rounds of the Premier League, Liverpool are sixth in the league table with 36 points.
On January 28, Liverpool will host Qarabag in the eighth round of the UEFA Champions League main stage.
