The changes in the squad of "Fomget" (Turkey), which the women's team of "Neftchi" will face in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, may cause adaptation problems.
The head coach of the Baku club, Siyasat Asgarov, said this in an interview with "Report".
The specialist emphasized that they will play a very important match:
"Today we will play a very important game. Unfortunately, for two years the draw has given us difficult opponents. In the first year, we played with the champion of Austria. This year, we will face the champion of Turkey. "Fomget" has really made very good investments in women's football in recent years. Of course, there are changes in the squad. They have brought about 10 players in the last month, and each of them is of high quality in individual terms. At the same time, they are members of their national teams. Maybe the opponent may have difficulties in terms of adaptation because of the many changes in the squad".
The head coach said that they analyzed the opponent:
"We have prepared for the game as much as possible. We will try to do good things today. We have analyzed the opponent. The coaching staff has changed. They did not play a game during the preparation period. There are a number of players I know from my time at "Fomget", who are still members of the main squad. We have also tried to learn information about the new arrivals. We have prepared accordingly".
S. Asgarov said that there were no serious losses in his team:
"True, we have brought some players. We have invited some players from Turkey and tried to fill the gaps. We also had players injured during the training camp in Baku. Of course, the goal is to advance to the next stage. The winner of this match will play with an Israeli club. We will do our best. I think that if we make fewer mistakes today, and also force the opponent to make mistakes, we will achieve our goal".
It should be noted that the "Fomget" - "Neftchi" match will start today at 20:00 Baku time at the "House of Football Natural Pitch" stadium in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
