The "Naegohyang" women's football team from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has traveled to South Korea for the semi-final match of the AFC Women's Champions League.
Idman.Biz reports that the players and coaching staff of the Pyongyang team landed at Incheon International Airport on May 17 on a flight from Beijing. According to Yonhap news agency, the delegation includes 27 players and 12 club staff members.
"Naegohyang" will face South Korea's "Suwon" women's football team in Suwon on May 20. The match will take place as part of the semi-final stage of the "AFC Women's Champions League" tournament.
This visit marks the first arrival of DPRK athletes in South Korea since December 2018. At that time, North Korean athletes participated in an international table tennis tournament in Incheon.
